Has anyone heard of the OBEYGIANT art movement? It is this street graffiti movement centered on phenomenology. Sheppard Fairley’s goal is to reawaken us to our environment and surroundings. I thought people would enjoy some of Sheppard’s posters…

The graffiti is done anywhere. I live near DC so whenever i go in I see the stencils or posters a lot. I know ObeyGiant is based in California so it has the largest follwing on the west coast, but really it shows up anywhere. The face is loosely based on a sticker Sheppard made which was of the late Andre the Giant, which read, "Andre the Giant has a posse!" Andre's family sued Sheppard so he had to change the sticker. He made a very simple stencil design of Andre, which he simply dubbed Giant. I am sure you have seen it somewhere before, it is a rather large following.

That is amazing! I've wanted to meet him so badly, but all his galleries are on the west coast
