Baroness Thatcher suffered what has been described as "a very minor stroke" while abroad on holiday last autumn and has made a very good recovery.

A close friend said Lady Thatcher and her husband, Sir Denis, had been celebrating their golden wedding anniversary in Madeira.

A press release has stated not to worry, Mrs Thatcher has past experience with beating miners.
