Hey everyone, I'm wondering what international awareness on the current refugee situation in Australia is, what's everyone know about it?

The bbc talked about refugees being sent to a barren island. it all sounds very cruel.
Forgive me for bring up something else but the BBC
also reports on New Zealand not willing to play its part in defence of the region. Is that on the left agenda in australia too? surely.

If I remember rightly, there are some refugees on a hunger strike and they have stitched there mouths closed so they can't eat, yesterday 7(I think) children who are without their parents were evacuated for fear they would also stitch their mouths closed.
On the NZ thing, NZ are nuclear free we told the Yanks to take their subs and stop using us as a base. There was a military agreement called ANZUS which the US said they won't stick with unless they can use NZ as a base. So any chance the imperialists get they try and make out we not doing our duty militarily.
Not willing to play it's part, is not spending enough $$ on the military. I can assure you there are troops fighting with the UN wankers right now from NZ.
