Instinct For Freedom

I'm not sure if anyone has seen this (or would even be interested in it), but I just watched it and I thought it was really interesting. It's an anime movie (a Japanese "cartoon") and has some really neat points in it. The story mainly surrounds a futuristic city ruled by a fascist regime, and is looking to take over the world. The parts that I thought were neat aren't exactly main parts in the plot, but they do play a fairly large role. It's also based on the 1948 graphic novel by Osamu Tezuka (seen by the Japanese as the "god of anime"), who also made the anime series "Astro Boy".
The city is divide into two parts that you see in the movie: the fairly "rich" looking upper areas where the government buildings, markets, and "rich" people are located, and the "Zones"; the lower areas of the city where the slums and factories are located. Within the slums are a group of rebels who are fed up with the government above. Since it's a futuristic story, the people in the slums have begun to lose their jobs because of industrialization and the fact that their jobs have been replaced by robots. The rebel group is led by a person named Atlas (pictured below), who wishes to bring down the regime because of the loss of their jobs, and because the construction of the Ziggurat (a tower which holds a weapon capable of taking over the world). Since the construction of this weapon all rations, forms of education, and other support for the "poor" people has been cut off, so he leads his people in a revolt to overthrow the regime.
The rest of the story is fairly sci-fi and doesn't exactly focus on these points as a huge part, but it's an interesting watch nonetheless. Also, Atlas is very similar to Che, which I thought was very interesting. If you're into stuff like this, you might want to give it a shot. I thought it was extremely entertaining.
