studying abroad in cuba?

I was thinking in college that it would be good to study abroad to cuba, but is it possible?

It used to be...I don't know about now but it would depend on the school anyway.

Be warned, if you study in Cuba, don't expect the cultural immersion package. In case you didn't believe anyone when they told you, Cuba is somewhat of a shithole authoritarian police state so you will be kept under close watch by government officials and required to stay--for the most part--in foreign student only areas.

Castro, a while back, had a program that reached out to American students and offered free tuition and rooms for those from repressed areas in the US to train them as medical doctors. His plan allowed for 100+ students from the US, per year, to come and study at the University of Havana's Medical School.

Interesting notion, mind you.
