The Baha'I believe that all faiths have their good points, and were all teaching the truth of peace and love. Their following is not forced to endure sacrements, religious training, or any other such initiation, they preach the equality of women, and are not opponets of the homosexual movement. This is by far the most tolerent and accepting religion i've found so far, but my question is why do they have such a small following, and if it increased would it be a service to the world by helping unite people of all walks of life

the abandonment of all forms of prejudice
assurance to women of full equality of opportunity with men
recognition of the unity and relativity of religious truth
the elimination of extremes of poverty and wealth
the realization of universal education
the responsibility of each person to independently search for truth
the establishment of a global commonwealth of nations
recognition that true religion is in harmony with reason and the pursuit of scientific knowledcant
seems like they have they're priority's straight

Actually, they have two major problems. They aren't overly accepting of gays since the entire religion is based around making a family, since that's the most important thing a person can do.
Also, they have problems with their democratic process in the religion that some of the tenants laid down by Baha'u'llah/Abdul'l'baha/Shongi Effendi won't allow them to change. The head Baha'i Organization is the Universal House of Justice in Haifa, Israel. The leaders of this are elected by the top seven most voted for, unfortunately people aren't allowed to show their desire to run to prevent parties from forming. This means that the Baha'i have had the same leaders except when death takes one of them.
They are a pretty quirk religion when you look at them, but all things considered this isn't the greatest problem. For example, their view of the afterlife is that it's not important since your just born into the "world after" and that keeps happening until you reach an infinite closeness with god or something along those lines.
