I WANT TO GIVE THANX TO FIDEL. DA MAN. HE IS MAN WHO HAS HELD THE ONLY COUNTRY I KNOW OF FROM THE FREAKING U.S. I LOOK UP TO HIM. CUBA DOESN'T LET THE U.S GOVERN IT, LIKE IT HAS TO OTHER COUNTRIES. I HATE THAT MOTHERFUCKIN*****INGLEECHSHITASSHOLECAPITALISTMOTH ERFICKIN COUNTRY. THANKS FIDEL FOR MAKING EVERYONE EQUAL NOT LIKE THAT SHITTY COUNTRY.

"Di nada" as Fidel surely would say. It is true though, if we look into Cuba's past it's quite explicit that the nation was only controlled by the U$ empire. It was only governed by the U$ installed regime. If it wasn't for the Cuban revolution not only would many many people have died but also we wouldn't have on of the most wonderful places in the Carribean. It's also the last remaining communist/socialist nation on the planet. So I also say MUCHAS GRASCIOUS EL PRESIDENTE CASTRO!

Look at these stats:
USA: Richest country in the world
Cuba: Quite poor in comparison to the USA

USA: Literacy rates 97%
Cuba: Literacy rates 96%

USA: Unemployment 4.5%
Cuba: Unemployment 5.5%

USA: Inflation 3.4%
Cuba: Inflation 0.3%

These are all the figures I can get, can anyone post anymore?

personally, i have a lot of respect for castro... although, i do think his version of socialism is incorrect.... as, i do not believe true socialism/communism can be achieved with a government still entact... and to have a governmentless socialism/communism would require it be a world revolution rather than just a single country...

but, hell... he got more people to hear the word "socialism"... so much thanks to him.
