A buch of us went out Friday to protest agianst the FBI's spying on the peace movement
and the patriot act... This was in front of the FBI BUilding just outside of Albany, NY.

This is fucking awesome.
I'd like to see a dirty pig try to arrest you, though. That'd turn pretty ugly

The FBI huh?

I'm surprised you all weren't arrested and labelled as some sort of 'terrorist conspiracy'. The motive of your protest: distract FBI officers while your Al-Quida 'buddies' were able to smuggle themselves into the country.

Yes, I am surprised at that actually. That is awesome though; protesting the FBI.

Anywho... Not to change the subject at hand. No wonder you wear longjohns. It's been 90+ degrees over here in California the past few days, and your snow has just been melting off. Brr!

Ian's bail was posted Last night, it was only $100.
He came over here last night after everyone came back
from New York City to find out how the protest down there went.

sweet. does he have to appear in court?

if so, you should definately make it a media spectacle.

edit: Oh, and if I am ever in a protest situation with Police, RedCeltic, you should be there too.

oh as far as the snow.. I heard there will be an extra 3 - 5 inches of snow tonight haha.. god I'm so sick of snow, but that's what you get when you live up here.

I don't know what Ian was actually charged with or what the police could legally charge him with. It's not like they actually had any kind of police barricade that he physically crossed. They just said that since there was no permit for the protest and that they couldn't do anything against a gathering that was technically on park grounds that if anyone stepped into the street they would be arrested.

Later they said that they would arrest Erin O'Brian who organized the protest if anyone stepped into the street. Ian didn't talk much about the incedent so I don't know what he was actually charged with, but I know that it isn't the first time he was arrested. He had been out on bail at a peace protest a year ago for doing a sit in inside a congressman's office when he was again arrested for climbing on a war memorial statue and putting a fake flower inside the barrel of the gun. (which is still there today.)
