I always buy my books, only rarely do i use libraries (books that i don't like that much). nearly $300 for those books...are they for school or something? Then i could understand the price. That's pretty insane, I wouldn't do it.

Well, I found the cheapest brand new set for $150
HAHAHAHAHA! I just looked on E-bay and it is:

With those high prices, either they are textbooks or out of print books. If Outline of History is referring to a work written by H.G. Wells, I bought two different editions of the book for only ten bucks at a used bookstore.

They are general for collectors and historians and then of course book posers (you know the old people with huge libraries they have never read that you'd love to have).
Personally if I had the moeny I'd go for it.
