Has anyone read this book, by Max Berry?

I thought it was well done. The way the story was written, and the plot development was GREAT.

The world he created, scares the hell out of me, where Corporations rule the western Hemisphere.

I suggest this book to all of you.

I wanted to read it but couldn't find it anyway. People have said that "Syrup" by the same author is better.
I do want to read both though.

Jennifer Government is excellent, especially enjoyable is the take on schools in a privatized society, Mc Donalds school, hilarious, and brutally close to the freakin truth. The Nation/State program is also run by Berry.

An intresting fellow, in listening to him speak at a bookstore talk he insisted he "Was not a Communist" with great emphasize. The rights to the movie were bought by George Clooney who will do a marvelous job with it, but good luck getting it released.

Berry himself fears that by exposing the truth of the decadence of globalism he hasn't lowered the playing field and given more room to companies to be nasty openly. Ah marketing . . .
