Have any of you seen this movie? There's a brief summary of its plot:
The true tale of Marita Lorenz (Anwar), a young American woman who, in 1959, falls in love with Fidel Castro (Mantegna) as she is living in Havana as his translator. She becomes pregnant with his child, but before reaching the full term, she awakens in a hospital in New York and is told by her CIA agent mother that Castro ordered her to have an abortion. The CIA in turn trains her to return to Cuba and assassinate Castro, but she can not bring herself to do it. Years later, she makes a startling discovery about their affair.
I have seen it twice and really liked it although it's not one of the best. I liked it because even though it's american movie, it doesn't support only american side. Actually, it doesn't support any side and leaves you a place to decide. One detail in the movie made me thinking a lot about it... Both, Fidel and Marita's mother who is CIA agent use the same motto - "We have to do not only what we want but also what we must" (something like that I don't remember very well). And they both follow it. Anyway, what do you think about it?
