Are we allowed to add to the list?

Well, no matter.

Here are some really really good books that every leftist should read.

A people's history of the United States by Howard Zinn
On the Road by Jack Kerouac (just because)
Steal This Book by Abbie Hoffman
Che: A Revolutionary Life by Jon ____ (I forget his last name- it seems like it was Anderson)

nice Zoidberg avatar, have plenty of threads on recommended reading please use those.
Culture of Fear
Barry Glassner
the guy is annoying anti-gun but it has good information on how the media over hypes events and how people then fear certain things, debunks most of those fears. it needs a revision though for this post columbine post 9-11 world.

not exactly hippie lit. Counterculture indeed, but not hippie.
