wrote a guerilla handbook, got arrested by bolivian authorities, was chucked in jail, friends with che, etc.

anyone else know him?

if so, then why does aristide want to sue him, and other french and u$ authorities, cos of the coup?

im prepared for a ghost thread here.

He seems to have meddled in the Haiti thing, to what end I'm not sure..

I only know him as one of the guys who allegedly framed Che. Along with Ciro Bustos.

He wrote a book called 'Against Venice' too. He was a French Marxist Economist i think. I remember reading about him briefly in Anderson's famous che bio.

He was an armed revisionist. Debray at one point in his life was a guerrilla war theorist. His works were the basis of the style of fighting of the Cuban Revolution (led by Castro and Che). Mao Tse-Tung exposed this method of guerrrilla warfare as divorced from the masses, not unleashing the revolutionary power of the masses, and basically as armed revisionism. The RCP, USA wrote a mjor peice analysing his and Che's line and outlook, you can pick it up from a Revolution Books store or from any member of the Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade.
