Do you think that more people support communism outside of America? If so which region of the world most supports communism at the present time?

Communism is most hated in the U$A, maybe one of the eastern European countries like communism the most, not really sure though.

Though definatley the country that hates communism the most is the U$A.

Of course there's more support for Communism outside the US.

Still though, there's not enough support for our ideas worldwide, we shouldn't simply sit back and wait for our 'inevitable revolution'.

It varies from country to country, but the attitudes of the general population of the world are significantly to the left of the average American. This manifests itself in greater support for socialism, communism, anarchism and all sorts of other leftist isms. 88% of Americans supported the US invasion of Afghanistan, 80% of the world population opposed it. US imperialism is one of the main things holding the rest of the world to the right.

didn't know that...

anywayz, as you all know, croatia was a part of yugoslavia before and was a socialist country, but here people are happy that it isn't like that anymore. i could even say it isn't safe to be a communist here. e.g. i was yesterday wearing my che shirt and a group of guys who were passing by said i shouldn't wear that shirt anymore cause i may get in trouble.... but the worst part is that it is a normal thing here. :(

most definitely there is more support outside of the US.... i believe that at one point 20% of French were communists, but because of Mitterand they merged with the Socialist party and got screwed over into a raw deal where the socialists gave them positions in office that really held no power as long as the merge was held up....

of course there's more. The US just demonizes communism and everything. (Radio Free Europe). The "Red Scare" is just propaganda.

That's pretty crappy. My family is from Slovenia, and from what they tell me, the nostalgia thing is fairly high there. I don't know what makes Croatia so different.

i think it's cause croatians fought so much to be indepandent... only some older people sometimes say it was better whan tito was alive, but the biggest part is against it, at least in zagreb (the capital of croatia). a big problem in my town are groups of skin heads who really do some shit. e.g. the other day they beat the living daylight out of a guy and in the end guy died! in my opinion it is just sick. it doesn't happen very often, but when it does it really isn't plesent. i have a kinda privilegy cause i'm a girl, but still...

There is a small area somewhere in Eastern Europe that still considers iteslf communist. They still have all the statues of Lenin. I can't remember the name I'm afraid, but it is a region of another country that has basically broken away unofficially, it even has it's own army and foreign policy.

Also, Georgia I believe is still very much alligned with Stalin. Many Maoists still exist in China too.

I would imagine that South America and Russia have the largest support for communism.

Thats a bit out of date.

Georgia recently had a "bloodless Revolution", replacing one bourgeois with another american backed one.
Within days america had "diplomats" in the country and anouced their plans to build a massive oil pipeline through the country.
