Young Left, OCAP, Threadbare, No One Is Illegal, and ISM Present:

Cafe Che: In Solidarity and Defence of Immigrant Rights!
Battle The Racist Canadian State! Bring the War Home!

Fundraiser for OCAP Immigration Case work for families and immigrants
who are the most marginalized within the Canadian State and who
continue to need solidarity. Casework is a vital part of Migrant
solidarity organizations in order to make the connections
and also in order to defend migrants as they are persecuted by the
state. This is a fundraiser for a particular case of an Afghan family
who fled after the Canadian and American led invasion took place and
who are now taking refuge in Pakistan illegally
and we need to bring them to Canada, so stand in solidarity with a
night of discussion, film, and culture and resistance!

Speakers: Steph Gude from OCAP Immigration, Davin Charney from KWYC

Films: "Holiday Camp" and "Waking up the Nation"
- April 2002, Australia: Activists charged their way into Woomera
Detention Camp for assylum seekers.

Spoken word from Ernest Carter Hip-Hop from Genetix, other
performances...
