When you're 17, you're more than old enough to live on your own. If he wanted to, he could renounce his inbred ancestors and live a (somewhat) normal life.

The guy is a product of his environment. he has not done anything against society (largly) and if he does it will be because of the position he is in because of history. For example, if he were king in the near future and decides to start a war on America (this is coming from my arse), it wouldn't of happened if he was harry smith from africa. This proves that the fact he was born into the royal family, is the reason why he will choose to do something and not another, and that you and I will judge him modeld on his predicesors. I don't believe that is very fair. By the way, what is wrong with blowing a bit of spliff????

Be fair to the royals they do an important job in an way. They have to talk to v boring people for a living. Can yopu imagin that. Even if we scrapped the monarchy a president would still have to do the same job. So whats the point in scrapping them.
