Brody, now I remember. I have one or two songs downloaded by The Distellers, brody...jodie...dont know how I got that but she does have a unique voice.

About Fear and Loathing, I think both the book ( read at least five times ) and the film ( seen too man times! ) are amazing.

I actually think that Johnny Depp's voice perfectly suits the book, almost as if anybody else would have ruined it.

Johnny Depp sounds very similar to hunter Thompson, so it would be appropriate to hear that voice while reading the book.

ED: There's a middle aged black actor in England who has a really slow and sexy voice.
He who picked Fat Mike must be kidding! His message is good but he has the voice of a 12 year old! (and the maturity. And the face. And the fashion sense. In fact, he's the world's oldest 12 year old!)
Add wiL Francis of Aiden. they have the aggro of AFI in their good days (Art of Drowning); and Eric Idle.

Flipside, whose voices do you hate? I cannot stick Fred Durst, the right-wing knob.

I don't care if my vocal chords are ripped out as long as somebody picks up my lyric sheet.

You like Bob Dylan's voice? Someone once said he has a voice like a cross between Macy Gray and Kermit the Frog!

mine: 1) Johhny Cash (Listen to his cover of One by U2)
2) Gomez, and whoever sings with him on the 'Bring It On Album' (Whippin Piccadilly is one of the most infectious songs ever!)
3) Carlos Santana
4) The guy from Thin Lizzy, who's name I do know but have temporarily forgotten
5) Howlin Wolf

Most bands have average singers. These guys above are real quality in terms of singing. Real class, energy and soul shows through when they sing.

Oh and as for Lou Reed- I hate him more than any other living human being. The last time I visited my parents who live in france, the only CDs my Dad had in the car was bloody fucking Lou sodding Reed and that irritating Demi Moore. Oh and some bleedin Kate Bush. How many times did I have to hear 'My Friend George' before I wanted to punish his vocal chords for producing this tripe? Twice. And every horrible horrible time after that.

Sorry but I have to vent my spleen somewhere and I can't afford therapy.
