Basta Ya! Join us to mobilize to STOP this nightmare!
Just this week, Trump declared himself above the law, the Supreme Court took another giant step in legalizing open bigotry in the name of Christian fascist "religious freedom," and the Trump/Pence regime doubled down in its policy of ripping immigrant children away from their parents to house them in quarters no one, not even a U.S. senator, is allowed to see. Basta Ya! Enough! Join us at any and all of the following actions and events to build the movement to stop this nightmare.
Visit us at Printer's Row Lit Fest
When: Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, 10am to 6pm both days
Where: East side of S. Dearborn St., between Harrison & Polk
Join us at the largest book festival in the Midwest! We'll have space next to Revolution Books Chicago at #231, thanks to their generosity. Look for our banner and NO! posters. Drop by to meet people who make up the movement organizing to end the existential threat posed by this fascist regime: get stickers, buttons and copies of the Call to Action (http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=k7VSmMernor6Fdi3LR0%2B217ap1gbpI3c) everything you need to become part of meeting this urgent need, in the name of humanity.
And on Sunday, join us at the screening of "The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! In the Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America. A Better World is Possible!"
When: Sunday, June 10, 2:30pm
Where: 525 S. State St., Loop Room, 2nd Fl (https://maps.google.com/?q=525+S.+State+St.,+Loop+Room,+2nd&entry=gmail&source=g) (near Printer's Row Lit Fest)
Facebook event (http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=NUgSPZg1jp6EcgFhgrX48F7ap1gbpI3c)

Clip: Watch the 3-1/2 minute clip here (http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=OPIDWw5xDvUay9fCKmqBJF7ap1gbpI3c). The entire 1-hour film is of a talk by Bob Avakian (BA) in which he analyzes the deep roots and driving forces of Trump/Pence fascism and what must be done to stop It. This talk provides a scientific understanding of the roots of this fascist regime—in the history of the U.S. and the deeper roots in the system of capitalism-imperialism. BA does so with passion, humor, humanity, and a deep sense of history. The film will be followed by discussion so it's a great opportunity to get to the heart of the crisis we face and what can and must be done about it.
March for Palestine & Al Quds

Where: Meet at 500 W. Madison, Ogilvie Station

The world witnessed the slaughter by Israeli sharpshooters of unarmed Palestinians protesting for their right to return to the homes they were driven out of, a right guaranteed under international law. But that has never been upheld for the people of Palestine. The U.S. is the biggest backer of Israeli aggression, and the Trump/Pence regime has exacerbated that by recognizing Jerusalem at the capitol, another illegal and immoral act. Refuse Fascism will join with this march to stand with the Palestinian people and against the deadly role of the U.S. in their oppression.
Moral Monday-- #Say No to Hate! Press Conference and Rally

Where: ICE Headquarters, 101 W. Congress Parkway (https://maps.google.com/?q=101+W.+Congress+Parkway&entry=gmail&source=g)
Who: Freedom First International, Refuse Fascism Chicago & more
Facebook event (http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=Xva%2FcIaAfaRnkaQli8N9uwrtksO%2BnFeg)

Refuse Fascism Chicago has joined this "clarion call for faith and civic leadership around Chicagoland to stand in solidarity against cruel and unusual punishment against all immigrants. This call will include a petition to stop the separation of children from families with this harsh treatment," issued by Freedom First International. We urge everyone who is horrified by the brutal separation of immigrant children from their parents to join us on Monday and spread the word to your congregations and communities. If we are not outraged and acting to stop this violence, we are accommodating the consolidation of fascist horrors. In that case, don't ask how the German people could have accepted Nazism in the 1930s. And we have the benefit of their experience to learn from.
All of this depends on YOU!
Become a sustainer of Refuse Fascism, at whatever level you can, to ensure that the millions of people looking for a meaningful way to act will learn about this movement. And save the date— June 24— for an evening of La Musica Latina vs Trump/Pence (http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=%2BoixJfPnnJVrU8uADugBF17ap1gbpI3c) put on by Degenerate Artists Against Fascism to raise funds for Refuse Fascism Chicago!
