Help to Change the Restaurant Industry!
To change the restaurant industry for the better we need employers, consumers, and workers to take an active role in fighting for fairness and dignity at work. Please Donate Here to support the hard working restaurant workers who not only allow the industry to thrive, but are also taking time off work to attend a convening, similar to the RAISE convening, to empower themselves and strategize about their role in improving the industry.
• $10 pays for 1 worker's metro card during the convening
• $15 donation pays for 1 worker's lunch during the convening
• $25 pays for dinner
• $50 pays for a NYC resident worker's full day participation
• $100 pays for 1 workers hotel room for a night
• $250 pays for a worker's hotel room and transport to/from the hotel
• $500 pays for an out of town worker's flight and registration
From June 25-27, restaurant workers from throughout the country will gather in New York City to share experiences, develop a collective vision of racial & economic justice, and receive leadership training.

Raymond Philmore
Convening participants are career restaurant workers like Raymond Philmore, who has been working in the restaurant industry for over 22 years. In addition to being a professional restaurant worker, with a Bachelor's in Hospitality Management, a degree in Culinary Arts, and a degree in Restaurant Management, Raymond is a single father of two amazing children and is a committed movement leader. Raymond became a member of ROC while living and working in the Bay Area and has continued to be involved after moving to Florida in 2017. He has successfully held down our Sunshine State presence without an official ROC chapter. Raymond is going to the Convening in New York City so he can connect with workers from throughout the country, learn more about different campaigns aimed at improving the industry, and continue to develop as an industry and movement leader.
Sincerely,
Pete Vargas
National High Road Director
ROC United and RAISE
P.S. To support workers like Raymond in being able to attend the National Leadership Network and be part of the effort to improve the industry, please Donate Here.
