May Day in Chicago-Tomorrow May 1st!
As a caravan from central America arrives at our southern border (http://click.actionnetwork.org/mpss/c/EAE/ni0YAA/t.2h2/NKCpPLIfT4ifpPspsqn5-Q/h0/A1SU7mtjs2kLEoznlDIrqVlyUZpPxOsrd2S90ji8OG8dLW3dA9 NkPfTshSNeooo8zab-2BE7gYOJj6WQR9Umpzm1UR36p-2B9x4FJ1p8QWVwiZUybhUEALXF4U0uYZPnenROS2A5XEYulA7y OxdYNav6G5CFTtZiPPwZ-2FisP6bH5ISsmeHqTHeXsB6h8KpUt5-2BOSl2a52XaZ7oVLJDu2bisAuNknzARVJwL6UIRVxqtTqbSEXv 4TpNrJvVJkKRAbbE8LTXfbvjvw-2FQdmpUFjYr7EgzpklB7azilPAgmvfl-2BoL6Y-2BxuP0opafpx4vDjWaE8QPuZFs7knG4MLhGUWULqkn-2BCVFjR1zZD691hProM2g16rKvj5VsTo1-2BbYv9A6sxIQH) in the past day, our President is seizing the opportunity to once again demonize and dehumanize immigrants and refugees. This has been an ongoing and dangerous assault on real people, families and our collective character as a nation.
Tomorrow, we invite you to stand with us and community, labor and faith leaders to affirm the fundamental human dignity of every person, and demand compassion and justice for immigrants, refugees and all our neighbors, co-workers, families and friends.
As we march in solidarity with one another on International Workers Day, we will be at three symbolic locations to underscore the meaning of this day and the crisis we face.
