UPDATE ON INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO FREE MUMIA


Dear Friends, Comrades, and Supporters:

We are fast approaching "D" Day, April 30th, when we will be in Philadelphia for this next turning point in Mumia's case. The struggle to free Mumia will no doubt continue AFTER April 30th, but we will learn about how the new progressive District Attorney is moving on Mumia's case. He has made some very important and positive announcements on not requiring bail payment for so many charges and thereby incarcerating thousands of poor people for non violent crimes. He has exposed rogue policemen. He has called for a true decarceration process. BUT he has yet to speak out on either Mumia or MOVE. Until he does, we don't know where he stands and what he plans to do. For that reason alone, and there are others, April 30th is very important.

This is a last call for you to let us know about any actions you are planning either before April 30th or on that day. We will surely announce them. Simultaneous actions are always impressive. That is, actions taking place while we are in court in Philadelphia.

There has been a very exciting Mumia film festival in many different sites and communities in Philly. See freemumia.com to see what's been going on in Philly and around the world. In NYC we had a very exciting march from the United Nations to Times Square on March 15.

Fwd: The Eyes Of The World Are Watching The Pennsylvania Parole Board


ONA MOVE

The Fact that The Move 9 are ten years past their parole minimum is a clear indication that parole officials do not have the interest of what's right at hand, More so the interest of The Fraternal Order Of Police is at hand .The interest of The Fraternal Order Of Police along with this system and it's officials is to keep MOVE in prison until they die . People can look no further than the examples of both Merle and Phil Africa who both died in prison after decades of unjust imprisonment .

The Pressure has been on The Pa Parole Board the last ten years and it's now coming to a head over the issue of The Move 9 . Governor Tom Wolf has ran back and forth the last three years trying to save face with the image of The Parole Board after being exposed in areas where The Governor and The Parole Board could not afford to be exposed . Through this work the past six years Parole Boards across the country and it's ties to law enforcement and how it relates to parole for our political prisoners has been exposed through and through .

These parole denials has nothing to do with the issue of innocence cause our people's innocence has been proven since the day of their arrest up until the day after they was sentenced to 30 to 100 years . This is nothing more than a vendetta against people that took a stand and fought against a system that's been wrong through and through . This is the reason why The Move 9 , Jalil Muntaqim Sundiata Acoli , Ruchell Magee etc all are being held hostage by parole boards guided by law enforcement across the country . The work continues and the pressure is going to stay on officials
