Dear friends: I used to support Maduro until recently because I thought he was an anti-imperialist and lesser-evil option in Venezuela and I thought Maduro could follow Hugo Chavez path toward a federation of workers-states for Venezuela, with nationalizations, and workers-control. Which Hugo Chavez aimed for.

At that first link, I just gotta say that I'm glad the form provides space for a number that reaches into the septillions (!). (Whaaaaaaa?) (Heh.) (jk)

So what do you make of this, Tom? Is it the beginning of a full neocolonized capitulation to the U.S. empire in these times of uncertainty? Did Venezuela's foray into cryptocurrency not-pan-out as expected, leaving Maduro with less *political* capital as well, stoking desperation?

It's difficult to make sense of this large donation, and it's certainly inappropriate, imo.
