Personally I think the market is killing his Ideology and distorting him into some sort of trend idol.

The iconisation of Che has been around a long while.
the market is trying to kill his ideology and we are trying to kill the ideology of the market. For the future of humankind lets hope we win.

I think that the exposure that che's image nowadays is good....rage against the machine using him as a symbol made me kind of realize my leftist views....what i don't like is people that just buy the shirts and posters and then go out and be money driven, materialistic assholes

Yes fuckers like Jay-Z piss me off. I feel that "mindless Guevarism" (like Jay-Z) shouldn't be allowed but I still like to express my views through my clothing. So those who actually know what they're wearing then I say by all means do so. And for the fuck heads that don't have a clue as to the people/symbols/nations on their shirts I say fuck off.

Maybe Jay-z's appreciationg for Che isn't "mindless,"

I've thought about that as well but considering his lyrics and have you ever seen an actual interview or one of those behind the scenes thingies with him? Trust me, he's mindless all the way around.

when i thnk about it .. it kind of seems bad.. but the more I think about it .. it actually seems kind of good. Think about it .. an anti-capitalist revolutionary punctering the market system. His face is everywhere now. I go into army surpluss stores that are pro-american, and here they are selling CHE T-SHIRTS!!! hah! I see alot more people wearing che t-shirts now as well. I do believe some do it as a trend, but it's kind of like Rage Against the Machine, it now has that platform to reach out at more people. It's like a flew in the stomach of the beast. Che, a man who wrote Guerrilla Warfare, and killed capitalists, who's face is now on t-shirts all throughout the U.S!! haha! It's brilliant!
The ratio between those who wear the shirt as a trend, and those who actually wear it cus they support what Che gets greater and greater, I think more people who know what che did are wearing the shirts, which is making a political statement against capitalism, despite those who just do it as a trend.
It is rather funny tho, for those who wear the shirt as a trend. Like if they have an american bumper sticker on their car, and here they are wearing a che t-shirt. lol. . . . although, if I was Che, I would be pretty disapointed that my image is being explioted.
I'm an anarchist, and I wear a Che t-shirt. I actually have 2 of them. Not because I think it's "cool" (well, yah it is), but because I support his cause..... Also from what i've read, he leaned more towards Anarcho-Communism than just plain communism.
Nevertheless, I will start getting very angry if I see the mainstream pop-culture starting to expliot che's image. If/when that shit starts happening, that's when we have to draw the line. Guerrilla Warfare style.

As long as the message goes with the image then it is pro revolution, but if it is sold for image purposes, then che becomes a brand, for which we must fight against

myself, i dont really care. i dont like wearing shirts with writing on them to begin with. (unless your purposely trying to get a message out). but the day i thought about t-shirts and advertisements it was because i was thinking how to make money. my slogan was going to be "MEN ARE PIGS". (havent seen one yet)

I think we should be aware.
Its ok to wear such a shirt, or have that kind of stuff
but when u wanna do summit as in action, then peopl will know it was you, and you will get caught, that is what would happen to me, as i have loads and loadsa commie crap on my books n stuff, and 5 soviet badges on my school blazer, but when i wanna spray McD's then people will know its me.
So next year i am planning to become a capitlaist on the outside, then wage a war against capitalism in my hokme town, therefore not being caught

He's one of those rappers who drives an expensive car and wears way too much jewelery for a man. (He's still macho, though, because he has the extras in his videos wear bikinis.)
