For almost a year, RefuseFascism.org has stood out as the only national organization that has consistently called out the fascist character of the Trump/Pence Regime and told and acted on the truth: Only the people acting together can end this nightmare and that will take driving the whole fascist regime from power.

Yet, the media has almost completely ignored and dismissed this movement which carries the hopes of billions of people around the world for a future not destroyed by the fascist Trump/Pence Regime.

This Saturday, we must break the silence of the media. We'll be bringing the noise across the country, demanding the media stop whiting out this critical movement.

Think about it: Not a week has gone by without a shocking outrage from Trump. The Muslim Travel Ban. The appointment of Christian fascist Supreme Court “Justice” Neil Gorsuch. The firing of James Comey. The murder of Heather Heyer. The pardoning of racist Sheriff Arpaio. The Trans Military Ban. The cutting of birth control for millions of women. Assaults on healthcare... and so much more.

And: not a week has gone by when RefuseFascism.org was not out in the streets, mobilizing people to stand up against these outrages and to bring forward the millions required to drive this fascist regime from power before it is too late. Just yesterday, 50 courageous students at Mendez High School in East LA walked out to demand: This Nightmare Must End: The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!

Yet, even as our “No!” posters which are omnipresent at protests across the country have been featured hundreds of times as the backdrop to talking heads on MSNBC and CNN, not once have they had representatives of this movement on their shows!

This is not “fair and balanced” reporting – it is the silence of complicity that aids the consolidation of fascism.

Because we are serious about calling forward and mobilizing the millions in the streets to drive out the Trump/Pence Regime, we will not allow the media to continue to hide this movement from the millions who need to know about it.

Come out this Saturday as we break the silence of the media whiting out this crucial movement to drive out the Trump/Pence Regime.

Come out this Saturday to be part of breaking the silence of normalization of the millions who hate Trump and Pence, yet are learning to get on with their lives and become numb to the catastrophic nightmare they are imposing.

Come out this Saturday – bring everyone you know: friends, family, co-workers, your religious community or atheist network, your neighbors.

Students and youth especially – take inspiration and example by the courageous students of Mendez High School and JOIN THEM in taking up the challenge to demand a future that is worthy of you and the youth all over the planet.

Is the Trump administration really headed by bona fide fascists? I couldn't find any detailed rationale on RefuseFascism.org last time I looked. The RCP,USA plays a leading role in that organization. I asked somebody from the RCP why they think Trump is a real fascist, and they directed me to the RefuseFascism website as well as an old document from the early 2000's that talks about "Christian Fascism". Setting aside that Trump is not an observant Christian (cf. the "Two Corinthians" brouhaha), such as document cannot of course address the "Trump/Pence Regime" specifically.
Are there any documents that go deeper than mere hyperbole about why the RCP and/or RefuseFascism sees Trump as a fascist? Or even why any other group that thinks the Trump regime (as opposed to any other presidential regime) is specifically Fascist?

I can't speak to anything regarding the RCP since I'm not in that organization, but I'd say the go-to points on Trump's fascist credentials would be his ties to Breitbart and the far-right, and his response to Heather Heyer's death in Charlottesville at the hands of fascists.

As the overall political terrain gets more polarized we have the 'inclusive' dynamic of far-left groups like Antifa being covered by the corporate press, along with the fascist right, but it unfortunately yields an overall framework of 'equivalency' where people begin to regard the far-left and far-right as somehow 'equivalent' within the larger whole of the body politic.

This allows for a 'neutrality' in the 'middle' of it all that effectively *validates* Trump and the far right as being one party to this prevailing dichotomy / polarization.
