Che execution 50 year anniversary

How does a socialist or communist reconcile their beliefs with the legacy Che left behind, one of murder and torture? One thing I struggle with is why some chose to hold up Lenin or Stalin or Che as heroes. Thoughts? Not looking to be argumentative, just need some perspective.

Che, Lenin and Stalin were fighting wars. People get hurt. Their legacy is one of successfully pushing forward the Revolution.
