I am a minor and I am wondering what can I really do to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the October Socialist Revolution? I live in Illinois, USA. Are there any activities I can go to? Because it really is a historic occasion and I don't just want to go on discord and say "Hooray it's the 100th anniversary of the October Socialist Revolution!" and than that be it.

Have you considered getting someone to buy you fireworks -- ? (For legal reasons I'm not actually *recommending* this.)

I'm sure there'll be some stuff going on in Chicago, a couple meetings or talks. One thing you could do as a minor is maybe have some like-minded friends around and watch something like Reds the 1981 film about John Reed and Louise Bryant. It's pretty long but separated into two parts so the second part is actually about Reed and Bryant in Russia. It's perhaps not exactly something I assume many teenagers would enjoy but maybe you could prove me wrong.

Oh man, reds is a fantastic film. Pretty sure I was a teenager when I first watched it and I absolutely loved it. Then again, I was a little nerd so who knows.

You can always organize a study group or open a red flag in your home. But building a student union in your scholl is probably the best way
