Meetings on Renaming J.E.B. Stuart High School
Our advocacy to change the name is not over! We continue to work to ensure that the new name of the school will embody the values of diversity, inclusion, and equity.
Please join us Tuesday September 5, 7pm-9pm, at the Mason District Government Center (6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003), to discuss new name options for JEB Stuart HS, in advance of the official nomination of names September 9 and the vote September 16. Students for Change remain active with community members, alumni, and parents and are focused on choosing a new name that will inspire the school community to come together and heal, that represents advocacy for diversity and inclusion in public education, and that does not have any ties to the Confederacy.
