Hello, I'd like to start off by saying I'm new here.

I know it's been thought of before, and has even been tried, however in today's world with the (somewhat) improved material conditions of Africa, I was wondering how viable it would be to have a socialist revolution in Africa.

Any thoughts?

It's entirely possible to have a socialist revolution wherever there exists the working class as long as they are organised in such a way to overcome the forces defending capital. Historically, there have been many socialist movements throughout Africa but they've been crushed by US and European imperialism.

By the way, since you're new to the forum: hello! Welcome and all that. A good place to ask questions would be the Learning forum and I hope you stick around. :)
