OK, so I am thinking about reading the count of monte cristo, but I have heard mixed opinions. So, what do you think about it it? Is it a good book or just mediocre?

I'd read it if I didn't have more interesting things to read.
Watch the movie and skip the reading. :P
j/k
Don't do that.
But the movie is pretty good, though.

If you don't like to read you don't read that kind of litterature.

Dumas sometimes gets dull, long, boring and too descriptive. Sometimes it's out of control, you think you are reading some Dostoevsky.

And sometimes the action is thrilling and you drink the words.

I liked the book. Not the movie.

Yes, definitely read it. I think it's a very good book, one of the first books i've ever read. Since then, i've re-read it twice. The justice (revenge) is insanely cool, and many other things make this a classic.
