Isn't it kind of funny though? You use this site to advertise a site that says this place blows, it obvisouly holds some value now dosen't it?

However, you will notice there is no 'Opposing Ideologies' forum.

I like this site, and I support ernesto-geuvara.com. It is in opposition to this site in this site's representation of Che-Geuvara. They would always be slightly hostile to Che-Lives since they have been restricted and/or banned because of their ideological views.

For anyone on Che-Lives, ernesto-geuvara.com has got some good videos:

Ernesto as a child (A collection of videos combined. Originally recorded by Che's father, Ernesto Guevara Lynch.)

Nationalization (Footage of the Nationalization of Cuban industries along with Che negotiating with the Soviets.)

Bay of pigs invasion (Show's the failure of the yankee invasion at the Bay of Pigs, Along with Cuban anti-aircraft batteries)

Defeat of imperialism (Ernesto gives a speech on the Bay of Pigs. The transcript can be found here.)

hmm, i'm a bit confused. So ernesto-guevara.com and Che-lives.com are opposed to each other? If that's so, anybody know why?

Its because ernesto-geuvara.com was created by people who follow the same ideals as Che, Marxism-Leninism or 'Stalinism'.

Really, and would that be why you decided you'd join and post there?

Well, I'm not a Leninist, but I am a Marxist.

Ever since I can remember, I've been interested in politics. I was a supporter of the NDP and mainstream moderate leftist politics for quite a while. I pretty much adopted the mantra of mainstream liberal ideology. Eventually, I began to realize the stupidity and hypocracy of a large portion of what I claimed to belive. I started reading Marx and some other socialist literature and agreed with what I read, and I've been a communist ever since.

By the way, this is BuyOurEverything from Che-Lives. Thought I'd check it out here.

The answer is in the 8th post down in this thread. Although it would be more accurate to say that ernesto-geuvara.com was not so much created by Marxist-Leninists as people who want to create a site about Che that allows marginally more freedom of opinion, i.e. the Marxist-Leninist viewpoint. Although it allows right-wingers, I think that if 50% of the site was made up of right-wingers the site would become near useless as it is a site about Che. The site was created and stands on a base of quite differing opinions on the left although it does have a sizeable amount of M-L.

I love how on any given day, the admins delete all the threads in one forum, and start from scratch. It seems now that the Politics forum has been erased, and replaced with bizarre posts by Huzington/Ixabert/Anti-Fascist.

I can hear the Stalinists now: "Politics forum? What politics forum? I seem to remember one politics forum filled with counter-revolutionary posts, I wonder where that's gone?"

:P

I think it could be a good site if some people would stop with the constant Stalin vs Trotsky threads.

Yes, I too became a member. Hoping that it may be a new form of politics aside from Che-Lives.

Honestly though; It is merely impossible to have a logical debate with the few members that are there. About 90% of the current members are aged 12-16, and they have a sexual fantasy over Stalin. Just about every thread started there is an article stolen from the web, with no personal input. The replies to these articles (usually complete b/s articles anyway): "great article man", "good article", "Stalin was great", "good article", "that was good", "great aticle". It goes around like that; nothing of intelligence is posted, and if it is, none of it is actually composed from any one of their own brains.

Maybe when more members join, and the tables turn against these "kiddie Stalinists", it may prove worthy. Until that day, it is nothing but whining pre-pubecent kids that will believe anything.

I think I'll stick with Che-Lives.

I don't think I'll last long there. They're censoring all my posts. Several were deleted for "insulting Comrade Stalin," and now they're just deleting any that are in opposition to their Stalinite views.

They deleted over half of a thread in the Politics section, because when asked the question "Trotskyism or Leninism," I replied "Neither!"
