Alright since there is a total lack of hip-hop topics in this I'll start one.Some of my favorite political hip-hop is Dead Prez,Public Enemy,Krs-One,Medina Green,Zack De La Rocha(formerly of rage against the machine),Poor Righteous Teachers,Mos Def,Zion I,Arrested Development, and on the lighter side Blackalicious and the whole Quannum Label.Most of this is underground because I personally think most main stream music is nothing but commercialized bullshit.Reggae in general is leftist at least Roots reggae so you can get into that I reccomend like Bob Marley,Peter Tosh,Damian Marley,Capleton,Bounty Killer,Jacob Miller and Innercircle.

I'm not much of a rap..listener or something, but I like Sage Francis and the Beastie Boys. Also, more toward the rap/rock spectrum HED(p.e.) is also good; although their new stuff is more personal and less political.
