I posted an article saying that we should abolish capitalism on a videogame forum, and everyone seems to be attacking me. Here is one of the replies: Give me a break!

The USA has the problems it has because we have too many un-Godly,s elfish people within our borders. Secondly, we are a WELFARE State! You do realize that this causes laziness on the part of the people who recieve it and apathy towards those who would normallly help the poor amongst us?

Capitalism only works for those who are willing to work! Getting an education helps too. I mean you can't drop out of high school or not attend College and then when you don't have it as well as those who finish school and get a degree.

I actually know people who think we should ALL have everything in equel porportions! What kind of CRAP is that?

I work a LOOOOOOOOOONG work week doing a job that is pretty taxing on me. As such I should make more than a guy who works at McDonalds! Not knocking the lower bracket workers, but if that is all your capable of getting or you have too little of a desire to reach for more then you have no reason to whine or expect our government to help you live like I do!

It's called WORK and you know what?

Get up off your ass, get an education, move out to a new town, or State, and WORK!!!!! Do whatever it takes, go wherever you have to go. Stop demanding equality and fairness if youhave done nothing or next to nothing to obtain all that you can!

I give to the needy, hell I give my LIFE to the needy! And I would give more! But since people who think like you tax me and my wife at nearly 40 freaking percent I have no more money to give to others!!!!

With regards to "you can't drop out of school...blah, blah, blah." What about the inner city kid that is forced to get a wage slave job just to eat. How is that kid supposed to come up with the means for further education. Either this guy lives in a cave, or he is incredibly young and naive. The capitalist system is designed to leave some behind. Ask him if under capitalism there is supposed to be full employment. Ask him if he even thinks it's possible. Ask him if he understands the concept of surplus labor.

By the way, that 40% tax he's paying. Ask him if he knows how much of that goes to defense spending and how much goes to actual social programs.

The inner cities EXIST because of Welfare programs!

I know and love a young lady like a daughter who lives in the projects! While she was unemployed she paid 50 bucks a month in rent and NO utilities!

Actualy, Cuba spends 11% of their gdp on mlitary spending, compared to 35% for the usa. And N. Korea can not be called socialist, they are state capitalists as was the ussr.

The U.S. does not need to spend much on defence because it has so much money. I can understand people calling the DPRK fascists etc., but state capitalists? Thats obviously not remotely true, even a country that is state capitalist is not state capitalist if the stage is temporary, e.g. NEP in the USSR.
