Here's the book of the Genocide that's been going on since the industrial revolution.
http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/2841...6188443-5312203 (http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/2841091449/qid=1010871528/sr=1-12/ref=sr_1_0_12/171-6188443-5312203)
There's loads of books about bad things in French, Inquisition, Communism, Capitalism, Prostitution, Nazism, Even Humanity. Problem is that they'll only publish one of them in English, I wonder why.

'I buried my heart at wounded knee' was one of the first books I ever read. I have unfairly forgotten the authors name . It is an extremely well written account
of the genocide of the red indians.

Speaking of Bad Capitalism let us talk about your beloved FairTrade Orange Juice
Fruit from the co-operative is sold to the state (it is not sold to the state - it is taken by the state/government) and the frozen concentrate is bought by Gerber (Capitalistic Pig who purchases the stolen concentrate from Castro's government), who make and market Fruit Passion.
FAIR TRADE MY FAT ASS!
If you grow 100 oranges and the government takes 90 of them and leaves you the remaining 10 oranges - do you call that a fair trade?

and your sources on these "facts" that you speak of are where?

not to mention the fact that though the state may take away the orange juice, in return in provides for virtually every need of the workers...
fair trade? yup, i think so...

If it is so fair - why don't you guys go live there and tell me later how great life over there is.
I doubt you will find access to the internet in Cuba - don't see anyone from Cuba writing to this site.
I don't see you jumping on a raft, sailing across shark infested waters to go live in Cuba.
I don't remember to many Europeans jumping over the Berlin Wall to go live on the communist side.
No it is much the other way.
THE WALL
From the outside it was beautiful, spray-painted with graffiti and slogans.
But from the inside it was quite a hell.

I take it you are rich, if so are you enjoying yourself
what are you doing here enjoying capitalism or have you a guilty secret. What earth do you know about
freedom. All you do is defend the status quo and falsely equate communism and stalinism.

I would love to go to Cuba, problem is, one, jumping on a raft to go across the whole Atlantic would be a bit dumb. two, i dont have enough money for a flight that would have to go through about 5 different countries... and as peacenicked says, you falsely equate stalinism with communism when you make references to the berlin wall..
oh, and the reason people jump on rafts to go across shark infested waters to get to the US? because if they do that little PR stunt they get given bucketloads of cash. Whereas if they go through legitimate means perfectly available to them, the US govt simply doesnt want to know...

Your replies alone show how ignorant you two are.
How old are you kids anyway?

This is my brother (A CONSERVATIVE) describing the comparisons between Cuba and Britain.
Cuba- Small Island Run by a Pratt
Britain- Small Island Run by a Pratt
Britain- Thinks it makes good things, In reality, produces Crap
Cuba- Produces good cigars, rum...
Cuba- No Democracy
Britain- Democracy, except when the leader postpones the election for 4 months because the country's fucked up and everyone's blaming him.
Britain- Run by the central committee of a single party where whatever is said, goes.
Cuba- Run by the central committee of a single party where whatever is said, goes.
Cuba- Sun
Britain- Rain
Britain- Strict censorship laws
Cuba- Strict censorship laws
Cuba- Dictatorship
Britain- Oligarchy
Britain- government officers managed to spread foot and mouth desiese before any of the public even knew about it. Very Severe Fuel Shortages as well.
Cuba- Mass toilet paper shortage in 1992.
Cuba- Actually has a reasonable health service
Britain- Fucked up health service
Yes I would go and live there. The dictatorship I live in is completely fucked up. High taxes, no spending. There one looks better.
I wonder about capitalists, I actually wonder how anyone can see that the world is fucked up so much and not think it needs changing. Anyway I think i'm middle class so I don't care.

Isnt it ironic how most of us, especially teens, are middle class? liberal parents?
and also how ironic is it that the majority of the british working class is ignorant and would rather have a sun paper calender with topless women, than a world workers revolution

indubitably, but is to be expected.
it is completely symptomatic of the system within which we live, in which the lower classes are not provided with adequate education or knowledge to be truly aware of themselves, only those with rich parents get that privilege. Let us not squander what we have been given by these unfortunate set of circumstances, however, for it is our duty, having this advantage, to use it for the good of those people kept in their ignorance.
The first battle must be for the hearts, minds and souls of the people, without that victory, then all others are hollow.

the first part of your post reminded me of that bit of a song:
"And yes, I recognize the irony that the very system I oppose affords me the luxury of biting the hand that feeds. But that's exactly why priviledged fucks like me should feel obliged to whine and kick and scream- until everyone has everything they need." Propagandhi - Resisting Tyrannical Government

I think they've got a new class system, It's 7 "Socio-Economic Groups" Its stuff like Lawyers and Doctors in 1, Teachers and Office people in 2, Police Constables in 3, Skill Manual in 4, Semi-Skilled White Collar in 5, Unskilled in 6 and on state benefit in 7.
Out of these groups both of my parents are number 2 so that kinda disproves the theory that communists want to kill all middle class people.

I'm proud of my white trash roots.
I think thats why I came to communism a bit later, after being misinformed by the schooling system and pretty much shut out for not conforming.
A lot of my white trash friends who were just as intelligent (if not more) as me however fell by the wayside. Drug addiction and unemployment is their lot now or teenage mothers struggling to feed the kids.
Facism and racism also appealled to a few of them in our teens, part of the class system imposed on unsuspecting youth, many of them ending up in jail.
Anyone notice you don't care what colour someone is until you're a teenage?
Then suddenly there's an us and them mentality, or maybe that was just in my highschool(which was a pretty fucked up school I'll add).
