for a good read ON Che, check out Anderson's bio on him.
For a good read of what Che wrote...check out Motorcycle Diaries first, and then Guerilla warfare.

Episodes of the Cuban Revolutionary War is the best, if you're going to start with one.
First, 'cause books by revolutionaries are usually better than books about revolutionaries.
Second, 'cause the Cuban Revolution is at the center of Che's political life. The greatest struggle he was involved in, and the one that gave him the chance to develop his abilities to the point he did.

Pick up a book called "the che guevara reader", has a bit of "episodes of the revolutionary war", bit of "guerilla warfare" and a lot of other che speaches and essays.
For a bio read John lee andersons "Che guevara: a revolutionary life" or Jorge Castaneda's "Companero, the life and death of che guevara". Reading both should give a good unbiased undestanding of che's life.

I just picked up Guerrilla Warfare b/c it is the only Che book the store had, so I hope it is a good read.

I agree with MiDnIgHtMaRaUdEr, the "Revolutionary Life" book looks very long and tedious, I found it in a bookshop once and decided against it as an introduction to Che.
For a first introduction to the life of Che, there are pleanty of short, yet interesting Bio's of him at Amazon.
I think it is probably best to read a short Bio on Che, then his works from early to latter, followed then if you wish by a more academic, longer Biography of Che.

I started reading Guerrilla Warfare last night, and before I knew it I had finished it. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. It was a very insightful book.
I also picked up Che's Biography which I am going to start reading soon. It is quite long, but I think I can manage it.
