do you think the movie bout our favourite revolutionary which is coming up will introduce more people to communism through and it will be educative about communism to those who don't really know what it's about?
do you think it will be kinda pro-communist or communist views will be left aside and not really shown?

personlly i hope it doesnt come out becaus ei think they are just using his image to make money and people will buy shirts just because they made a movie about him not actually knowing what he stood for
basically i dont think it will be pro communist or anti commmnunist i hope it doesnt take either side it is just a good biography that teaches people about his life

It would be great if they portrayed Che's ideals correctly, but as this is a Hollywood film and not an Indy film, I'm sure the references to communism will be sanitized out of it at the least, or be portrayed as dangerous at worst.

:( yeah... i agree with you bubbrubb, i also wouldn't really like it to come up. i mean, i'd like to see it and think it will be good (since benicio is playing che, it must be :D ), but i think after the movie there will be quite a bunch of kids who will wear che t-shirts and say that they know everything bout this man, still don't knowing what were his ideas about. that really pisses me off.
on the other side, people whe become really interested bout this man can learn about communism through che. that was the way i became a commie :P
disgustpated i agree with you too, it is hardly possible communism'll be portrayed as something good. if it would be i think the movie even might be forbidden in some countries. it wouldn't really suprise me. :(

meh. Hollywood is going to whore it out majorly. If it's "popular enough" we may even see public officials going to see it opening day someday. (Arnold the Governator, for one)

I hope the movie would be shown in my country. If it would be, I am going to watch it, whether it be anti or pro communism. Benicio is a brilliant actor, I am sure he would do justice to playing Che. But, we can not erase the fact that it is a hollywood movie and hollywood movies always show how great America is and how America would always save the world. I hope that this time, the once-again-the world-is-safe-thanks to-america thing wouldn't be channeled through the movie. I also hope that they won't cannibalize Che's life in order to fatten the pockets of capitalist pigs. Yes, there would be a lot of kids with short attention span who would say they know everything about Che and start wearing a Che shirt after they see the movie and become pseudo-commies. But don't worry, comrades, they would eventually get tired sooner or later and carry the american flag again with pride because what caused them to become communists is nothing but media hype.

i think it will be good. has anyone here seen castro??? that wasn't bad. it was pretty good actually and it showed a lot of Che. this is one where they will show just mainly Che. yay!! but i also hate that the reason is probably just to make money.
