last night i went to a concert of Anti-Flag in Amsterdam, it was great :D
There was a nice atmosphere and of course there was a pitt.
Before Anti-Flag started playing there were others bands playing : Pipedown and Darkest Hour
They were o.k., but not quite as good as Anti Flag.
Anti Flag played great :D , some numbers they played : Die for your Government (a classic), Turncoat, Stars and Stripes and Mind the G.A.T.T.

When Anti-Flag gives a concert in your country, go to visit it, they rule :P

Nah, Terror state is quality--the other stuff is sub-par if enjoyable.

I missed the death of a nation tour when it came to my town...anti-flag, rise against, none more black. Yeah, so that sucked. I had to drive home for winter break the day before. I also missed Strike Anywhere the last two times they came to Austin because I was out of town!

And we got weird looks from the skater kids... and some mad ones too, because my friend was slam dancing like a motherfucker.

I've seen two Anti-Flag concerts, both in the same town: One in a leftist, non-commercial location, organized by people who are actually coming from the punk scence, and who just did for the love of punk music. Second concert was organized by a dickhead who just did it for the money. The first concert was one of the best shows I ever saw, with a really great "community atmosphere", the concert was more than two hours long, the second only about one hour. One the first concert also an AFA spokesman had the chance to make a (unfortunely bad) speech. Also, the second concert was more than twice as expensive as the first one. This really shows how important not only the actal band is for the quality of a show, but also who is organizing it, and where it is hapening.

Hardcore dancing does not involve "slam dancing", assuming you mean that shitty thing where *hrmph* push your sweaty bellies into other people and *hrmph* funny things like that...

Yeah, the Anti-Flag tour over here is playing venues owned by Mean Fiddler, who are basically the UK Clearchannel. The London venue, called the Mean Fiddler, is the shittiest place ever. You can't take any form of food or drink in, not even an empty water bottle, there's a lameass step right where the pit should be and there's a ridiculous barrier preventing any kind of band/crowd interraction.

It's up to Darkest Hour, a metal band, to do the DIY thing. They're playing a nice little DIY show on one of their days off, which will be more conducive to a punk rock show than the above charade.

I know it slam dancing isn't hardcore dancing, but I mentioned it because of all the angry looks. The friend who did that is also one of the best hardcore dancers I've seen in my whole life.

I went to an Anti-Flag show in Dallas at the TREES last December... a very powerful show to say the least. They toured with a few other highly anticipated bands as well. Rise Against for one are just... fucking awesome. heh... to be real blunt about. Against Me was another interesting band that opened.

Good Stuff... ;)
