DES MOINES DRONE PROTEST BLOCKS TRAFFIC
Anti-drone war organizers with a base in the Catholic Worker movement in Des Moines cranked up their protest on June 28, 2017, blocking a roadway near the local Air National Guard drone control base, with four of their number being arrested.
On June 29, according to Catholic Worker organizer Frank Cordaro:
"Before a reluctant Polk Co Jail Judge, Jesse Horne, Spencer Kaaz, Ruby Montoya and Jessica Reznicek all plead guilty to 2 misdemeanor charges, were give fines and let go! Don't see that very often....
.... this campaign has new life.... stay tuned."

Four peace activists were arrested this morning after they set up 3 concrete blocks and chained themselves to them in a desperate attempt to get local attention to what they believe is happening at the 132rd Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, Drone Command Center at3100 McKinley Ave, Des Moines, IA.
The protest is part of a six week campaign started by the DM Catholic Worker and the DM Vets for Peace to bring attention to the terrible truth that the DM Drone Command Center is part of a mission we know are killing women and children in Middle East. (See below for sources.)
