pretty self explanatory, what do some songs remind you off?

RHCP - Scar Tissue always reminds me of north london, whenever I hear it, I always remember going to see Spurs, it was on during half time there, for some reason it always stirs up memorys of that time.

The Doors - Hello I Love You Always reminds me of falling in love at first sight, whenever you see someone and can't take your eyes of them, this is the song that plays in my mind.

The Clash - Whiteman in Hammersmith Reminds me of my friends, just hanging out and doing nothing but listening to music and drinkings, the clash always seems to be playing, I can't here this song without feeling sentimental.

When I listen to Jazz, it reminds me of being in a mall near Christmas time with my family. I think that that emotional connection is probably why I like Jazz as much as I do.

R.E.M.'s "The Great Beyond" reminds me of winter, night time, a LOT of snow outside, being in a car with the heat on full blast, and driving very slowly, listening to the radio.

Hell yeah:

Like I popped in my Gorrillaz cd that I haven't listened to in forever the other day and it reminded me of when I first started posting here at che lives. Pretty weird.

There's this song by a spanish rock band named Mana that every time I listen to it it brings me back to San Felipe, Mexico. I listened to this song as I drank a 40 oz. bottle of beer (Tecate :D ) on the beach at night.

The song by the ying yang twins (shit I can't remember what it's called!)reminds me of the night me and a whole group of people went to taco bell at 1 in the morning and I walked through the drive through but they were closing. It's the fun memory song even though that was just happened last year.

There's a whole bunch more songs that bring back memories but they're all really cheesy things that I'd rather not mention, or think about.

yes.

RHCP: Higher Ground - I remember i was a kid and we were sitting in our van, i was watching the downpour and we were listening to the radio. Random childhood memory.

RHCP (again) Californication - I saw the video a few years ago, i was amazed and it blew me away. It reminds me of warm summer days spent in forests and cities.

Beach Boys - Good Vibrations - When i was little we played it on the way to the beach. Brings me back to the car, the hotel, the beach.

Avenged Sevenfold - Chapter Four - Went to their show a week before christmas this year. Reminds me of a small crowded room filled with people and nice loud music, while the weather outside was horrendous.

There's alot more, but i can't really explain them.

There are songs that were playing when various things were happening, but I don't listen to them and feel like I'm back there (fortunately, it'd hurt too much), but there are songs that evoke strong feeling, the most obvious right now being Andy's EP. I haven't had the guts to listen to it yet, it's depressing enough anyway. AFI really choke me up too, and HIM are pretty depressing cos they remind me of Nik.

Red Hot Chili Peppers "Catholic School Girls”: I remember when I was 8 and totally in love with my cousin's best friend who was like 10 years older than I was. Every time he would come to our house I would run to my room and hide, then I would blast this song.

i can't hear anything by rancid or social d or the casualties or watch a clockwork orange without thinking about my ex. do you believe- by cher because that's what happened to be playing during my winning jump course in brazil three years ago. unwelcome guest- words by woody guthrie and music by billy bragg and wilco which reminds me of any revolutionary and then this little black arab i used to ride who was just freaking awesome and noone could catch. the golden vanity and louis collins- when i was little and my dad would play his banjo or guitar and we'd sing those songs all the time.

Switchfoot - Dare You To Move - I would consider this my incentive to get up in the morning... make a difference as one might say. VERY powerful song.

Lifehouse - Somewhere in Between & Lifehouse - Everything - Clearly a resemblence of my past issues in regards to relationships. I could honestly make a LIST of songs of this kind... but that'd take me hours :P .. meh.

A Perfect Circle - Judith - My stance of Religion... specifically Christianity.

THRICE - Cold Cash and Colder Hearts - Extemely powerful political statement both in music and lyrics. Particularly the ending of the song. This easily represents how I feel in regards to the 'relationship' between the rich and the poor, the greedy and the needy.

Staind - Epiphany - Perhaps one of the most BEAUTIFUL songs ever written... perfect for anyone who's had their moments in the car... engine off, music up, sadly contemplating whatever might be on your mind in the pouring rain. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :)

Bleh I could go on and on...

another Clash song: I'm so Bored with the USA reminds me of the first protest I went to.

Another bites the Dust; by Queen reminds me of playing soccer (don't know why)

Bad Religion -- "A Walk": I heard this for the first time less than a month ago, but now I think I get the first part of the chorus in my head whenever I take a longish walk. "I'm going for a walk... not the after-dinner kind... I'm gonna use my hands, and I'm gonna use my mind..."

Bad Religion's "Infected" and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps" make me think of my girlfriend. We went to see the YYYs last Friday, and that was a great show. She and I will lock eyes and sing the "Wait, they don't love you like I love you" line to each other.

On the BR tune, here is the chorus:

"You and me have a disease... you affect me, you infect me... I'm afflicted, you're addicted... you and me, you and me..." Do I need to explain the addiction/love parallel to anyone? Ok... I'm done nauseating you all with my sappiness.

Yellow by Coldplay reminds of a girl I used to be with.

I actually couldnt listen to it because I'd get emotional and Im not an emotional kind of guy.

Now I think its an amazing song.

Another girlfriend song is Kate by Ben Folds Five as well as Sally Cinnamon by the Stone Roses.

Anything by the Doors get me in a good mood.

Bob Dylan reminds me of a holiday in Spain, the only way I could get asleep due to the various drugs and alcholo in my system was to smoke a joint and pub Dylan on.

"Green Eyes", by 'Coldplay'. - Reminds me of someone. Ouch.
"Days", 'by the Kinks'. - Wow. Just makes me go all sad for a bit.

These are the main ones, but man, there are hundreds! Music is such a good "medium" for emotions, a link to almost anything... I love music.

Piggy - Nine Inch Nails.. Me and my girlfriend used to sing it over and over again when we were friends.. It reminds me of the little "intro" to our relationship... And "Hello, I Love You" by the Doors is what were singing now mostly...

Bad Religion - Fuck Armageddon...This Is Hell! This song made me a HUGE Bad Religion fan, and when I went to school with the "anti-cross" logo on my t-shirt I got kicked out...
Good times....

Way too many, but I'll try.

There are a million songs off the radio, that remind me of my childhood. Stir it up by Bob Marley, and a couple Madonna songs? Don't ask me why.

Midnight, by Ice T reminds me of when I was 9.

Self Esteem, by The Offspring, reminds me of the first two girls I ever slept with. Don't ask me why, actually I was the one abusing them.

Sgt pepper's LHCB, reminds me of being wired on ritalin, and so do a few other song that were always on the radio: Adia - Sarah Mclaughlin, and that doo-doo-doo song by 3rd eye blind, a few other's as well I can't remember.

J-lo's If You Had My Love, reminds me of being ripped on acid. Once again don't ask me why

A million techno song remind me of E.

I'll just list a buch of songs that remind me of break-ups or long periods of longing for women:

Rene by Lost Boyz, Checked 4 me by Saukrates, Sky's the Limit by Biggy, Kickin' Stones by Big Sugar, My Own Prison by Creed, and a million other lame ones I'd be embarrased to mention.

I got 5 on it reminds me of being baked.

The whole Slim Shady LP reminds me of being kicked-out of my house, when I was 16 for a summer, good times :D . Roc Bottom reminds me of the day (that summer) that my freind Oscar got stabbed by some little shit over 20 bucks.

hmmm so many to name!

Um...lets see,

"Hey Joe"-Hendrix: makes me think of practising with my band. We play hey joe with two guitars and a conga drum, it sounds wicked cool.

"Sweet Virginia" and pretty much any song off of "exile on mainstreet"'The stones: Makes me think of grade 8 year, when i thought I was cool at school lol, what a loser i was (and still am :P)

"One Fine morning"-Light House: makes me think of driving to school early in the morning, with my mom. They played that song every morning for about a week on the radio!

Any song by nirvana: Makes me think of the lead guitarist in my band. I'd never really listened to any nirvana til he burned me a CD with some of their songs.

"Blinded By the light"-Manfred man's earth band: makes me think of johnny depp, cause it was in thet movie "blow"

"Classical Gas"-Mason Williams: Makes me think of my brother's apartment in Victoria, cause I remember learning to play it on guitar in his place.

"All Blues"-Miles Davis: It takes me back to this band performance. I play bass for my school's jazz band, and this is one of the pieces we played. I love this song with a passion. I memorised it. I didn't even need the written part, I knew this song so well. anyway, we played it at the playhouse for a christmas concert, and I refused to wear our school's dorky uniforms, so I wore a tuxedo, and the conductor didn't care! she let me, it was great. anyway, we played all blues, and it was just so cool. You couldn't even see the audience, it was just still. God it was great!
