My teacher now calls me "comrade"

In my first day of "20th Century American History" we've already discussed Marx. I was very vocal and he's like "from now on I'm calling you 'Comrade'". He sort of meant it as a pun, but I find pride in it. I just flat out told him I was a socialist, even though I knew I'd be reticuled as a result of ignorance. I just thought it was sort of humorous....oh well. Anyone have any stories that are similar to mine?

i have a few actually "comrade" lol, yesterday in my english lit. course we were discussing russia and for some reason my teacher seemed to be looking at me for the answers to most of his questions. He was actually looking for verification on my part to some of his answers lol. I think since im in college most kids are alot more open minded and arent as brainwashed as high schoolers, so i dont get too much heat for my views. peace

I wrote recently a socialistic article in my schools newspaper and verybody are looking at me with weird faces now, some people find it interesting and some people disgusting. And the teachers started to talk at their lessons about the crueliety of communism (in physics, history, french literature...) It is even funny!

Well, actually, I've been called comrade once or twice and Che has happened a couple of times. See I've got this shirt with a hammer and scicle on it, so sometimes I come in with red pants, that red shirt and a beret, and I always get some sort of comment cause of that.

My social studies teacher calls me Che, Ernesto, Fidel, Vladimir, and Sendero. Of course he does it in fun and does in fact have respect for my leftism. He's one of those "intelligent teachers," no pun intended.
