Deadly Exchange: An Introduction to the Campaign

One of the most dangerous places where the regimes of Trump and Netanyahu converge is in exchange programs that bring together police, ICE, border patrol, and FBI from the US with soldiers, police, border agents, etc. from Israel. In these programs, “worst practices” are shared to promote and extend discriminatory and repressive policing in both countries.
The organizers of the exchanges are predominantly U.S.-based Jewish organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee, the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, and AIPAC, among others. Defy Trump, Defend Sanctuary For All Rally in Chicago

Even as we reject Deadly Exchanges between the U.S. and Israel, we need to support the broader movement raising up visions of real safety and security for all.
That's why we hope we'll see many of you on Thursday to support a rally organized by a powerful coalition of organizations in defense of amendments to the Welcoming City Ordinance - Chicago's Sanctuary City Ordinance - that would strengthen the policy and make sure that no immigrants are excluded from protections. Organizers are pushing for real protection from deportations for all immigrants as well as to ensure City Council doesn't make it more difficult to hold police officers accountable for abuse and corruption.
