Chris, year after year we have been fighting against cuts to our schools as well as vital programs and services. But defending against the attacks can only get us so far, to win what our communities need we have to go on the offense.

Our People’s Agenda 2017 Legislative platform calls for:
- Increasing the state minimum wage to $15/hr
- Expanding the child care assistance program
- More resources for public schools
- Free college tuition
- Closing corporate loopholes
- Protecting Illinois Immigrant Community by making Illinois a sanctuary state
- Closing hedge fund and private equity loopholes
- Increased spending on anti-violence programs
- ...and more programs that our communities need
We will be joined on the call by Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia and community leaders and elected officials that have worked to put the legislation together. We hope you will be able to join us for this important step in winning the investment that the people of Illinois deserve.
