For those living in the United States and much of the west, have you noticed that we've transitioned primarily to a temporary workforce which is now the common corporatist form of worker exploitation?
I would like to hear others commentary on this.

I don't know if it's the norm, but it is certainly ubiquitous in office and service jobs. On the whole, the effect of weak or an outright complicit union movement, neoliberal restructuring of capitalism, electoral political consensus, and gutting of past labor reforms has left US workers more vulnerable and precarious than the previous generation. US workers have been forced to be more "flexible" even though the price of our labor had decreased or stagnated while the value produced by that labor has increased.
We need a revival of rank and file militancy and action, large temp employers and fast food or retail chains are two good places to start. Not that it will be easy or automatic.
