Dear friends,
In light of the horrendous mosque shootings in Quebec, and the growing climate of hostility towards Muslims and those perceived to be Muslims, Jewish Voice for Peace is stepping up its efforts even more in support.
Over 1,200 of you joined us and our partners in Morton Grove on Sunday; can you join us again tomorrow at the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, or at for the Mosque Solidarity event tomorrow at the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview?
We are responding to the call issued by our partners, the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) as part of the nationwide #WeAreAllAmerica (http://jewishvoiceforpeace.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=44fda0b60aa5102296294048f&id=6fd3661f59&e=079ae7db83) action on Friday, February 3, during noontime Jummah prayer.
Faith and community leaders and membesr across America will connect with their neighbors and local mosques to stand in support of Muslims and refugees by participating in solidarity vigils and simple welcoming actions at local mosques.
Here is the info on three of these actions in the Chicago area tomorrow, Friday, 2/3!
Where:
BRIDGEVIEW MOSQUE FOUNDATION (Noon - 2:00 pm)
7360 W. 93rd Street, Bridgeview (Starting on West side along Oketo Avenue and South Side along 93rd Street).
Participants will form a human chain around the mosque.
Reserved Parking: At the MAS Center 9210 s. Oketo Ave, Bridgeview (adjacent to the Mosque Foundation)
Courtesy Table: At the MAS Center Multi-Purpose room (complimentary coffee, bathroom access, warm-up seating)
DOWNTOWN ISLAMIC CENTER
(Noon - 2:00 pm)
