In Lebanon, the article 534 : Unnatural sexual intercourse is punishable by a prison sentence.
The supreme court declared that this article only includes pedophilia & zoophilia. Judges exclude homosexuality from this law, stating that homosexuality is natural.
Unfortunately, Lebanese militias like Hezbollah & Amal have tortured many gay and transgendered people, some have been killed by the militias.
The committee of muslim scholars, have condemned the Supreme court's decision.
Many ultra-conservative parents still have disowned their children for being gay or trans.
We still have a long way to go, but there is hope for Lebanon after all.
