Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Jerry Gordon -- tireless trade unionist, socialist, and antiwar activist -- passed away in his sleep on October 27, just a few weeks short of his 88th birthday.

Friends and family of Jerry Gordon are hosting a Celebration of Jerry's life on Saturday, January 28 (from 2 pm to 5 pm) at the Unitarian Universalist Society in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. We invite one and all to join us. If you cannot attend, please send a message that will be posted and enlarged for all to see in the UU hall, and that will then be published in a special booklet with all the statements at the meeting and selections of Jerry's writings and speeches. Messages should be sent to <[email protected]>.

To honor Jerry Gordon's life and work, his friends and comrades have launched the Jerry Gordon Memorial Fund, to raise money to continue the project to which Jerry devoted the last years of his life: the Labor Fightback Network. The Jerry Gordon Memorial Fund's initial goal is to raise $5,000, and we hope that many of you will contribute as much as you can to it.

[LFN] Jerry Gordon -- A Celebration of His Life (pdf of Tribute Booklet)


Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Please find attached a 28-page booklet celebrating the life of Jerry Gordon, a lifelong political and trade union activist -- and socialist -- who died last October 27th. Until just a few months before his death, Gordon had served as Secretary of the Labor Fightback Network (LFN).

The booklet is divided into three sections:

(1) A political and trade union biography of Jerry Gordon, written by his companion of many decades: Bonnie Gordon. (This section also includes an obituary published by Single Payer Action Network Ohio.)

(2) Remarks presented, and Messages read, at the Memorial Meeting, which was held in Cleveland, Ohio, on January 28, 2017.

(3) Messages sent over the past three months paying tribute to Jerry Gordon.
