I'm just curious what sort of events, if any, people are holding in response to the rightwing upsurge in the United $nakes (excuse my stylistic flourish).
In my hometown, a group of us are organizing a public discussion (with food and childcare in a traditional working class neighbourhood), facilitated by a number of prominent local organizers and exploring a variety of themes from "Is this a fascist moment?" to land defense and Indigenous sovereignty, anti-Black racism/the rollback of civil rights, etc. in the current climate.
There's also been a Canada-wide call for actions to mark Trump's first visit as President, likely to occur within the first week(s?) of his Presidency.

Anyone else - (Legal/public) plans going forward? I'd love to know how people are responding to developments - not least of all that Trump seems to have stirred up a huge backlash.

I'd recommend the WCW / RCP for this -- I got a topical email today and would normally repost the entirety of it, but it's a bit unwieldy, so here's a link to it instead:

My college campus had a couple of protests against the election, and as far as I know there are still protests going on in a few cities. Other than that, I don't know of any major plans or preparations going on. Although I bet there's gonna be a lot of protesters at his inauguration.
