Iyad Burnat who is head of the Bil'in Popular Committee against the Israeli Wall and Settlements in Palestine is coming to the Pacific Northwest touring to feature his new book Bil'in and the Nonviolent Resistance.
Craig and Cindy Corrie visited Iyad Burnat and his family in Bil'in on numerous occasions. Bil'in is most well-known for its weekly Friday demonstrations against Israeli land theft and ongoing for over 10 years. Iyad and the Bil'in Popular Committee who organized persistent and creative demonstrations were featured in the Oscar-nominated 'Five Broken Cameras' film. Now, you have a chance to hear Iyad speak about Bil'in's decades-long struggle for justice and freedom through his first-hand experience.

Cindy & Craig Keynote at Abbotsford Palestine Conference, 26 November
The Department of Political Science and the Peace and Conflict Studies program at the University of the Fraser Valley, Abbotsford campus are sponsoring a conference on Palestine. Cindy and Craig Corrie will present the keynote address. The Corries recently led an interfaith delegation in Palestine and will speak of their experiences.The event is free and open to the public
"This conference is a chance for Canadians of conscience to gather and learn more about the situation, listen to the stories of Palestinians, and explore how to work for justice and peace," said Ron Dart, an instructor in the political science department at UFV and one of the organizers of the conference.
