Dear comrades,
I'm thinking of traveling into a kind of communist country. Obviously there are just two possibilities: North Korea or Cuba. I know that those countries might have a bad record and are far away from the real meaning of communism. However I think every little step away from capitalism and fascism is a step on the right track.
I wanted to ask which of these countries is the nearest to real communism and why it is. Are there any other "socialist" countries (maybe china)?

If you go to north korea you step right into fascism. Cuba is your safest bet.

Except that isn't how it works. You can't just be less capitalist, there is no "capitalism light". I'm not sure what exactly a "step away from capitalism" is, wearing the colour red perhaps?
And hey where I live we don't have a fascist party in power at the moment so I guess that means Canada is on the right track to communism.

However, none of those countries are remotely socialist. They're as far from even a step towards socialism as wherever you currently are, in spite of being ruled by so-called "Communist" Parties.
Stay right where you are, drop the notion that the DPRK/Cuba/PRC or "really existing socialism" is worth emulating. Help take a "little step away" from capitalism and fascism, and step towards revolution in your own country.

If you want to take a trip tho OP; Rojava could be an option if you want to experience a revolution. Their are groups that will fly you there for free.
