The "socialist party" in my country recently said that "of course mass immigration is a problem". It seems to be that more and more social democrats etc. start to swing to the right and claim that there is somehow mass immigration and that this is a significant problem. Am i just missing something or is this the most anti-left thing to say when you are part of a socialist party?

Not quite but close to the most 'anti-left'.
But why are you surprised? The majority of the 'Socialist' parties betrayed the working class in 1914 and most of those that didn't had betrayed them by 1941. The only exceptions I can think of are the Socialist Party of Great Britain and the Socialist Party of Canada - and the latter-day 'World Socialist' parties that take their Impossiblist line (the Socialist Labor Party would also be an exception but doesn't seem to exist any more). Social Democracy is the politics of the 'left wing' of the bourgeoisie, it is about a section of the ruling class getting to put its neo-Keynesian ideas into practice to protect the national economy. It has nothing to do with the working class overthrowing capitalism.

When even the socialist party which most people describe as "too extreme left" is so totally disconnected from my idea of leftism :/
