Kingdom of the Unjust: Behind the US-Saudi Connection

In her new book Medea Benjamin—cited by the L.A. Times as “one of the high-profile members of the peace movement”—shines a light on the US-Saudi relationship. Why, over a period of decades and across various presidential administrations, has the United States consistently supported a regime shown time and again to be one of the most powerful forces working against American interests? Saudi Arabia is perhaps the single most important source of funds for terrorists worldwide, promoting an extreme interpretation of Islam along with anti-Western sentiment, while brutally repressing non-violent dissidents at home.

End Washington’s Continued Blockade, Return Guantánamo!

Cuba poured in doctors to provide free medical care to Haitians when they were hit by the recent hurricane

Washington’s boot is still on Cuba’s throat despite supposedly ‘normalized’ relations – it denies Cuba use of U.S. dollars in international commerce and has fined foreign banks billions for doing business with Cuba after “normalization.” It continues to illegally occupy Cuban territory at Guantánamo.

Why? Because the Washington considers the Cuban people’s revolution –and their enormous accomplishments of free healthcare, education, housing, and unprecedented environmental protection– a “bad example.”
Cuba’s revolutionary government has uniquely extended no-strings international solidarity, with over 50,000 doctors and teachers serving in nearly 100 countries.
